Can You Train A Whippet Recall?
Training Whippets recall can be different. It is certainly not impossible though. The problem is that traditional techniques don't look at training as a skill, but more "cheerleading" in an attempt to be more interesting than squirrels and more!
I understand Whippets are focused on their environment, and quick to react. Over the years I have lived with Whippets who were so distractable and quickly learned it is not about being "more interesting" than something else.
Instead it is about teaching your whippet there is value in you, you are a valuable team mate. Along with that teaching them clear skills and layering in distractions.
You CAN teach a Whippet recall.
What Is The Whippet Recall Programme?
The Whippet Recall Programme is a 4 week group programme. Designed to teach you and your Whippet the skills needed for recall, from the comfort of your own home.
Each week you get 3-5 lessons in your online course for you to practice anytime from home.
You are not left to go it alone with this course though.

How Old Does My Dog Need To Be?
Dogs From 12 weeks onwards are suitable to take this course. The lessons are small and easy to work with. Whether you have a young pup, or an older dog who needs a top up, this course will support you whatever the age.

Whippet Wonders is based in the uk. However as the lessons are online, you can join from anywhere in the world!
We Have Tried Recall Training Before, It Hasn't Worked!
Recall training is something that can be challenging. However it is worth trying with this course with support, sighthound expertise and proven techniques.
Can You Teach My Dog To Ignore Prey?
No. I will be clear on that. Sighthounds are prey driven dogs who will want to chase squirrels, bunnies and similar. Anyone who suggests you can teach a prey driven dog to just STOP paying attention to prey doesn't understand sighthounds.
What if my dog isn't food motivated?
Food motivation is a common concern. The course is primarily food based and works on teaching your dog skills at home into the real world.
How long do I have to use the sessions?
You have 4 weeks to train along with everyone else, and then you keep this course to refer back to through the life of Whippet Wonders.
