Meet The Trainer!
I am Zara Lipsett. I am a Dog Trainer & Behaviourist and my passion is helping Whippet and their owners.I have been very lucky to share my life with 4 Whippets for the last 14 years, (along with a JRT too) and have learned their unique ways and the realities of living with Whippets and their unique personalities.
Marley - The Inspiration
Marley was my first Whippet in 2012 and he made me fall in love with the breed, quirks and all!
He was not as motivated as our border collie and GSD, but he was definitely more sensitive. He had practically every issue you could think of he barked and lunged at other dogs, people, he was anxious and had separation anxiety (With some guarding thrown in too!)
As I was committed to this anxious little trembling dog, I did everything in my power to learn what I needed to change to help him. And that is how I began my training journey! I am qualified and accredited with various companies and only use modern, force-free, positive training.
Moving Forward
I started my local business Wagging Wonders in 2012, working with clients in Lincoln where I worked until 2025. In addition to that I opened up Whippet Wonders in 2020 to help Whippet owners around the world.
During this time I adopted Ollie, Womble and added pups Arthur & Arkle to the family, living with a multi dog household has been an amazing experience!
Since January 2025 I have been working exclusively, online with Whippet Wonders client! Meaning I can provide more solutions to Whippet owners worldwide, whether via zoom, online courses or the School For Whippets.
I am passionate about using modern and positive training. Whippet Wonders does NOT use any aversive / old school training.

I live in another country, can you work with me?
Whippet Wonders has worked with clients around the world. Everywhere from USA, Australia, Denmark, Italy, Spain, France and more! Zooms can take place from anywhere in the world and you can buy courses from anywhere too.
Don't you need to see my dogs "bad behaviour" In person?
During a zoom I don't need to see your dog doing the wrong behaviour, our goal is to set your dog up for success. This would be the same as if I were in person. If you have any relevant video clips, that is handy, but our focus is on solutions and moving forward!
Do you work with other Breeds?
I work with Whippets, Whippet mixes, Italian Greyhounds, Lurchers, Bedlington Whippets - anything that is a bit "sighthound-y". I can be persuaded to work with other breeds in some circumstances.
Do you charge extra for multi dog households?
There is NO extra charge for households with multiple dogs. We can cover the most pressing issues for your multidog household in each session.
What if my dog is not food motivated?
If your dog is not a super foodie, don't worry! Motivation is a tricky topic, but very often it is about how we use food and we will cover strategies during your 121 zoom session.
Would a course or 121 suit me best?
Self paced courses or the School For Whippets are ideal if you are motivated and able to work on your own. Perfect if you are pressed for time. While 121's can be ideal if you need a plan, structure or help with a specific problem. Get in touch if you are unsure.
