How Do Classes Work?
Like real life- just less distracting!
Whippet Wonders classes are unique in that you can train live and get feedback as well as important relevant information.
Each course/ workshop / class structure will vary to a small degree. But unless otherwise stated, they follow the formula of:
I demo an activity with my whippet Arkle and then you all get to have a go.
I give feedback live and you can ask any questions. Like a real life class, just without the extra stressors for your dog and from the comfort of your own home!
While another portion of the session will be dedicated to discussing the topic and having Q&A.

Train Your Whippet with Expert Support
Online Live Zoom Classes are ideal to create a plan for training your whippet and inspiration for more skills in day to day life.
You are not restricted by weather, travel or your dogs confidence levels. You can get the skills you need from your living room. Your whole household are welcome to attend and get involved.
Whippet Wonders provides a professional session from a trainer with 14 years of experience in person as well as well as online. Meaning that Zara can advise small tweaks to change how your dog learns a skill via zoom.
Practical skills help you develop your training skills for real life as well as ensuring that you understand the exercise with q&a live and follow up notes, sheets, videos and recordings.
Sessions include digital certificates too!

I decided to sign up to Zara's reactive to responsive course, as my boy can be reactive to other dogs and animals. In the 4 week course I've learnt a lot of techniques to help handle situations, that previously I'd have struggled to manage. I know we've got a way to go, but Zara's techniques are definitely helping. If anyone is struggling and needs help, please reach out to Zara. She's lovely and has a lot of experience and knowledge about our pointy nose buddies.
I recently attended a virtual recall workshop with Zara at Wagging Wonders - it was invaluable and has really set us up for training our whippet to be the best he can possibly be. She is extremely knowledgeable and has great learning resources and games. Highly recommend!
Having just completed an online 4 week Reactive to Responsive course with Zara, I can honestly see the difference it has made already. I have learned so much about my dog’s behaviour and body language, including my own on our walks! The sessions were small in size so I knew that Zara was really engaging with me as a client and observing my dog individually to understand his needs. Myself and Odin feel much more relaxed on walks together and I’m looking forward to enabling him to become even more happier and more confident!

I live in another country, can you work with me?
Whippet Wonders has worked with clients around the world. Everywhere from USA, Australia, Denmark, Italy, Spain, France and more! Zooms can take place from anywhere in the world and you can buy courses from anywhere too.
Don't you need to see my dogs "bad behaviour" In person?
During a zoom I don't need to see your dog doing the wrong behaviour, our goal is to set your dog up for success. This would be the same as if I were in person. If you have any relevant video clips, that is handy, but our focus is on solutions and moving forward!
Do you work with other Breeds?
I work with Whippets, Whippet mixes, Italian Greyhounds, Lurchers, Bedlington Whippets - anything that is a bit "sighthound-y". I can be persuaded to work with other breeds in some circumstances.
Do you charge extra for multi dog households?
There is NO extra charge for households with multiple dogs. We can cover the most pressing issues for your multidog household in each session.
What if my dog is not food motivated?
If your dog is not a super foodie, don't worry! Motivation is a tricky topic, but very often it is about how we use food and we will cover strategies during your 121 zoom session.
Would a course or 121 suit me best?
Self paced courses or the School For Whippets are ideal if you are motivated and able to work on your own. Perfect if you are pressed for time. While 121's can be ideal if you need a plan, structure or help with a specific problem. Get in touch if you are unsure.
