How Do Classes Work?
Like real life- just less distracting!
Whippet Wonders classes are unique in that you can train live and get feedback as well as important relevant information.
Each course/ workshop / class structure will vary to a small degree. But unless otherwise stated, they follow the formula of:
I demo an activity with my whippet Arkle and then you all get to have a go.
I give feedback live and you can ask any questions. Like a real life class, just without the extra stressors for your dog and from the comfort of your own home!
While another portion of the session will be dedicated to discussing the topic and having Q&A.

Train Your Whippet with Expert Support
Online Live Zoom Classes are ideal to create a plan for training your whippet and inspiration for more skills in day to day life.
You are not restricted by weather, travel or your dogs confidence levels. You can get the skills you need from your living room. Your whole household are welcome to attend and get involved.
Whippet Wonders provides a professional session from a trainer with 14 years of experience in person as well as well as online. Meaning that Zara can advise small tweaks to change how your dog learns a skill via zoom.
Practical skills help you develop your training skills for real life as well as ensuring that you understand the exercise with q&a live and follow up notes, sheets, videos and recordings.
Sessions include digital certificates too!

Reactive To Responsive Course - £70
Tuesday 9th September at 7.30 - 8.30pm
Create calmer walks with your Whippet and don't feel that dread every time you see your dogs triggers when out on walks.
In fact, don't dread your walks anymore! Take your dog from reactive to responsive in this live weekly zoom group course. Giving you skills for the real world, as well as skills to help your Whippet handle everyday life within the world of being reactive.
This 4 week course will help you understand your reactive whippet or similar more, and set you up with skills to reduce their reactivity and handle them in the real world.
This course will cover:
-Setting your Whippet up for success
-Management skills
-Activities for confidence building, self control and thinking in arousal.
This course does NOT cover prey drive. Ie attempts to hunt critters.

Get a better relationship with your Whippet and learn how to create a strong recall cue, handle distractions, and play games to create more value in you. Enjoy your walks with your Whippet, not dread every distraction!
Using modern, positive and proven techniques to create walks you can enjoy!
Giving you practical skills to handle walks, create attention and you and discuss how to set your dog up for success along with the always popular emergency recall cue.
Train along live for the first half of this fun and unique workshop, then I'll explain how to handle distractions and how to teach an emergency recall.
With time for Q&A at the end!
This is always popular with pups to lay strong foundations as much as it is with those Whippets who may need support with rebuilding that recall!

I decided to sign up to Zara's reactive to responsive course, as my boy can be reactive to other dogs and animals. In the 4 week course I've learnt a lot of techniques to help handle situations, that previously I'd have struggled to manage. I know we've got a way to go, but Zara's techniques are definitely helping. If anyone is struggling and needs help, please reach out to Zara. She's lovely and has a lot of experience and knowledge about our pointy nose buddies.
I recently attended a virtual recall workshop with Zara at Wagging Wonders - it was invaluable and has really set us up for training our whippet to be the best he can possibly be. She is extremely knowledgeable and has great learning resources and games. Highly recommend!
Having just completed an online 4 week Reactive to Responsive course with Zara, I can honestly see the difference it has made already. I have learned so much about my dog’s behaviour and body language, including my own on our walks! The sessions were small in size so I knew that Zara was really engaging with me as a client and observing my dog individually to understand his needs. I live in another country, can you work with me?
Whippet Wonders has worked with clients around the world. Everywhere from USA, Australia, Denmark, Italy, Spain, France and more! Zooms can take place from anywhere in the world and you can buy courses from anywhere too.
Don't you need to see my dogs "bad behaviour" In person?
During a zoom I don't need to see your dog doing the wrong behaviour, our goal is to set your dog up for success. This would be the same as if I were in person. If you have any relevant video clips, that is handy, but our focus is on solutions and moving forward!
Do you work with other Breeds?
I work with Whippets, Whippet mixes, Italian Greyhounds, Lurchers, Bedlington Whippets - anything that is a bit "sighthound-y". I can be persuaded to work with other breeds in some circumstances.
Do you charge extra for multi dog households?
There is NO extra charge for households with multiple dogs. We can cover the most pressing issues for your multidog household in each session.
What if my dog is not food motivated?
If your dog is not a super foodie, don't worry! Motivation is a tricky topic, but very often it is about how we use food and we will cover strategies during your 121 zoom session.
Would a course or 121 suit me best?
Self paced courses or the School For Whippets are ideal if you are motivated and able to work on your own. Perfect if you are pressed for time. While 121's can be ideal if you need a plan, structure or help with a specific problem. Get in touch if you are unsure.
