Whippet Wonders has been offering their unique live Reactive To Responsive Zoom courses helping whippets round the world have calmer walks since 2022.
With a unique blend of live training, including feedback and coaching as well as a wealth of information discussed it makes it a great way to commit to your Whippets Reactivity.
This course covers a huge wealth of information week on week. Including Skills to change your Whippets emotions, handling reactions and setting up for success.
These sessions are hosted by Zara; Trainer and Behaviourist with experience of 15 years locally and 6 years plus online. Using kind, effective & modern training techniques with Whippets and sighthounds in mind. This course does not cover prey drive / reactions to cats/wildlife.

I decided to sign up to Zara's reactive to responsive course, as my boy can be reactive to other dogs and animals. In the 4 week course I've learnt a lot of techniques to help handle situations, that previously I'd have struggled to manage. I know we've got a way to go, but Zara's techniques are definitely helping. If anyone is struggling and needs help, please reach out to Zara. She's lovely and has a lot of experience and knowledge about our pointy nose buddies.
How Does This Class Work?
Like real life- just less distracting!
Whippet Wonders classes are unique in that you can train live and get feedback as well as important relevant information held live via ZOOM video call. Meaning your reactive dog is not overwhelmed and you can learn skills stress free.
For Reactive To Responsive the first half is practical; meaning you train along live with your Whippet with treats! I demo an activity with my whippet Arkle and then you all get to have a go.
I give feedback live and you can ask any questions. Like a real life class, just without the extra stressors for your dog and from the comfort of your own home!
While the latter portion of the session will be dedicated to discussing the topic and having Q&A regarding Reactivity and how you are finding the tasks.

Since puberty our whippet Kosmo has been showing reactivity towards fast-moving objects, such as skateboards or scooters.
The Whippet Wonders course 'Reactive to Responsive' has taught us a lot. We worked with several trainers before collaborating with Zara, and her specialised knowledge in the breed has really made quite the difference. She gave us a wide array of exercises, ranging from self-confidence-building to strengthening our bond and from reactivity-management to reactivity-desensitizing. Especially learning how to exercise 'watching' triggers but not 'reacting', is already showing quite an improvement with Kosmo's behaviour. With dedication to training and patience, we gained back confidence that we will be able to improve Kosmo's behaviour and help him lose his fears.

What If I can't Attend Live?
Not a problem! You will get a recording of the session and all the activities covered via email within 24 hours after the session.
Can I Attend with Two Or More Dogs?
Yes of course! You only need to book one place and you can train with your 2 or more whippets live!
Do I Need To Have a Whippet?
This live workshop is suitable for Whippets, whippet mixes, italian greyhounds, lurchers and similar types of breeds!
How Old Does My Dog Need To Be?
This is suitable for any dogs from 10+ weeks plus. It is perfect for getting your whippet started on the right pawstep with their recall as much as its perfect to get your teen whippet back on track!
What Methods Do You Use?
I only use modern, positive training methods. Meaning most training is using food or toys to motivate your whippets.
